Days like today remind us why we do what we do. We’re thankful for this community – for the runners, walkers, families, first-timers, and longtime friends who continue to choose us on their journey. Every person who shows up, whether it’s for a race, a fitting, a conversation, or just to say hi… you’re the reason we exist.
We’re thankful for the early mornings, the start lines, the finish lines, and every mile in between. For the stories we hear every day.
For the kids who outgrow shoes faster than we can stock them. For the adults who decide today is the day they start moving again. For the athletes chasing PRs and the people just chasing a healthier life.
We’re thankful for a team that shows up with heart — even on the long days (and yes, Turkey Trot morning counts as a very long one). They give everything they have to make sure your experience is more than just a transaction.
Most of all, we’re thankful that after 15 years, this community still trusts us. That means everything.

New at Runaround: The Claw Machine!

Meet our newest team member Haley! She is currently in the dual credit program with Ozark Christian College and Missouri Southern studying Radiology.
Haley’s favorite shoe is the Clifton 10 from Hoka because of the soft cushion and trendy look!
Athlete Spotlight: Will Twiss
Will is a 10th grader at Thomas Jefferson Independent Day School who’s having a breakout cross country season. His best performance so far was a 15:57 at SWCAA, followed by 3rd-place finishes at Father Tolton and Stampede. Up next, he’s gearing up for the Chili Pepper Cross Country Festival in Arkansas, where he’s chasing a PR and a time of 15:30.
Goals: place top 3 at state and help his team win a state title.
Favorite shoes: Nike Alphaflys for training.
Pre-race meal: chicken Alfredo or ravioli.
Favorite song: Over My Dead Body by Drake.
Favorite subjects: math and chemistry.
Outside of XC Will plays point guard on TJ’s basketball team, runs track in the spring, and spends his free time playing pickleball and fishing.
He also helps with morning care for younger school kids before classes to earn volunteer hours.
Will finds motivation in both his dad, who inspires him emotionally and pushes him to run hard every race, and his coach Austin Bunn, who lifts his confidence and helps him reach his potential.
One of our favorite memories of Will was when he was just 2 years old. He and his brother Jack accidentally locked themselves in the Runaround dressing room at our very first location — and since there was no key, the owner had to climb over the wall to get them out!
When asked what running means to him, Will shared “Being part of the running community is important to me to make the sport bigger, to inspire others to try it out, and to glorify God through it all.”
Congrats Will — keep chasing greatness!
